Erinn and Mike had the perfect fall engagement session in La Crosse! The colors of the leaves were showcasing all their glory and Erinn and Mike looked stunning! Riverside Park and Downtown La Crosse were the perfect backdrops for their session.
These two have one of the sweetest stories I’ve ever heard- especially their proposal story! I remember getting coffee with Erinn and Mike and hearing the story for the first time. Erinn and Mike are both incredibly kind. But ask either and I’m sure they would tell you that being the center of attention isn’t their idea of fun. So as Erinn shared about the wedding planning they had done so far, the dreams for their wedding venue, and what they expected their wedding photos to be like, Mike sat quietly and patiently. I finally asked him how he proposed. He opened up and shared how it went down.
Erinn and Mike are both Brewer’s fans, and it was special for them to go to games together! They went to a game and Mike brought the ring he had been carrying around for a while. Of course he had known that Erinn was the girl he wanted to marry!! So he brought the ring with him to the game, in hopes he could get her down to the dugout to propose. So while Erinn enjoyed the first few innings, Mike said something along the lines of how he needed to use the bathroom or go get a snack. He left and found one of the ushers.
Mike told the usher his story. He told them how important this moment was to him and how he was hoping to make it memorable for Erinn. Despite his amazing boldness, the usher told him that he could not propose by the dugout. Mike went back to his seat next to Erinn.
Now, that could have been where the story ended, but Mike wasn’t willing to let this moment slip by! When the ushers switched, he mumbled another excuse to Erinn about where he was going and he left. He told the second usher the same story, and hoped for good news…
No. That was the answer the second usher gave him. Ok, now you think I’m going to tell you how he switched his plan last minute and proposed in a different way, right? Nope!! Mike would not give up on his idea. When the usher switched for a third time, you bet Mike was back next to them, telling them the same story he told the previous two.
Well, third time is the charm, because this usher said yes!! They made it happen and between innings, Mike took Erinn down to the dugout (to her disbelief!) and proposed in front of the stadium! While Erinn wasn’t expecting the public proposal, her answer to his question was an easy one: yes!
Enjoy our favorites from their colorful fall engagement session!
